Justin Ginsberg
Justin Ginsberg, Existence #5: One, Single Life, 2013
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Justin Ginsberg spent eight years traveling the country, learning from practicing artists before returning to his home city. He began working for the Art and Art History Department at the University of Texas of Arlington in 2009, while pursuing his Masters in Fine Art Degree there. He continues to be a faculty member as both the Glass Studio Operations Coordinator and as an adjunct professor -- while also focusing on his own creative practices and research.
Justin Ginsberg shows his work nationally at galleries and museums including a 2012 solo exhibition at the PEEL Gallery in Houston, and has been included in museum exhibitions, through the Wichita Falls Museum of Art, and The Corning Museum of Glass in New York. Most recently, Ginsberg’s work was accepted into New Glass Review an international annual publication of the top hundred artworks that incorporate glass. This is the second time Justin has been accepted into the prestigious and competitive published exhibition. His work is also included in publications such as Architectural Digest, PaperCity, Modern Luxury, and ArtLies.
Ginsberg’s work utilizes process, as a symbolic form of communication, often abandoning traditional methods and seeking new ways to engage creative practices. He pushes both material and idea to extremes, constantly attempting to challenge the definitions that categorize the world.
Most recently, Justin Ginsberg is co-curating, with artist Jeff Gibbons, a series of pop-up exhibitions in Dallas, titled Deep Ellum Windows.
