Sonali Khatti is a mixed media artist who was born and raised in New Jersey, and now maintains a studio in Dallas, Texas. She earned her BFA from The Rhode Island School of Design and also holds a Post-graduate Diploma in Asian Art from the University of London.
As a first generation Indian-American, Sonali’s work is inspired by her own cultural history and extensive travels to India. Her works incorporate pieces of her own history and invite you to travel to another time and place. Through stamped surfaces, buried remnants of cloth and preserved marks, a story unfolds.
